Slurry Holding System, Glass Lined Steel Tank

A circular storage tank constructed of glass fused to steel panels with a concrete floor. Each panel is approximately 5 feet high by 10 feet long and is bolted together to form a ring with each ring bolted on top of the next ring until the desired height is reached. This tank will have a side mounted, tractor operated centrifugal pump with a small reception pit below it to receive manure from the main storage tank. Initially, the centrifugal pump discharges manure over the top of the tank to agitate the contents of the tank. When agitated, it then will discharge the manure into a hauling vehicle or high pressure pump if the manure is to be disposed of through an irrigation system. A reception pit located near the livestock building receives the manure from the building and a centrifugal pump agitates the manure and then pumps it underground to this main storage tank. In lieu of a reception pit, a piston pump will receive the manure directly from the animal building and pump the manure, as received underground, to the main storage tank. Diameters can be from 25 to 101 feet, with sidewall heights from 14 to 24 feet.
